KE-Expansion Profiles
Expansion joint covers for concrete slabs and large floor areas. They protect the floor covering on both sides of a movement, expansion or saw-cut joint and let the slab move without breaking up the floor, for every type of floor covering.

About KE-Expansion Profiles
What a floor expansion joint cover does
Concrete slabs and large floors move with temperature, humidity and as a building settles. Expansion, movement and saw-cut joints give that movement a place to go. An expansion profile is laid over such a joint: it protects the edges of the floor covering on both sides and keeps the joint working, instead of letting the movement crack the floor.
Expansion, movement or saw-cut joint?
A movement joint is the general case: any joint that lets parts of a building move relative to each other. An expansion joint is the version driven by thermal expansion. Saw-cut or control joints are cut into the slab to decide where it will crack. KE profiles go over all three; the point is to follow the joint, not to bridge it rigidly.
Expansion joints in tile floors
Tile and natural stone are rigid and cannot absorb movement, so a joint in the slab has to be carried up through the tile, and large tiled areas need additional movement joints. A tile expansion profile keeps that joint open while protecting the tile edges on both sides.
Frequently asked questions
Where do expansion profiles belong?
Wherever the floor covering crosses a joint in the slab, and on floor areas large enough to move on their own: large floating floors, parquet in high-rise buildings, large tiled areas and barrier-free thresholds.
How long are the bars?
Küberit profiles come in bars of 8' 2-1/2" (2.50 m), and the price of a profile is per bar. End caps, inserts and accessories are sold as listed on their product page.
What does shipping cost?
$89 flat rate on orders of $400 or more, shipped as full-length bars. On smaller orders, choose the $89 rate with bars cut to 95" (2,414 mm) at checkout.
Where do I find dimensions and installation details?
Product pages include the Küberit data sheet with dimensions and installation steps, and most profiles also have a 3D preview.
Is there a warranty?
Küberit profiles are covered for five years from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship, when installed as described in the data sheet.
